If you’re in West Seattle and you’re looking for some great takeout while all of our favorite eats are closed for dining, look no further. My family and I have been fervently searching the area for the best food and are here to report back!

If burgers are on your mind, look no further than The Habit Burger Grill. Complete with a drive through, this restaurant is a sleeper for sure. The burgers are outrageously good, juicy and drippy and full of all your favorite fixins (as my Southern Grandma would say). Not to mention, some of the best fries, onion rings, and shakes I’ve had to date. On Avalon and 35th, it’s easy to get to and easy to get home. If you need a quick bite, look no further than The Habit Burger Grill.

And if Pizza is what you’re craving, Pegasus Pizza on Alki is, in my humble opinion, some of the best pizza in the city. I’m typically a pizza purist, I want tomato sauce and pepperoni. None of this pesto, chicken, or Thai peanut sauce on my pizza, thank you very much. But Pegasus is the exception for sure! I let my husband order whatever combination he wants and Pegasus has never let me down. House Tom’s Pizza is a household favorite, it even has sunflower seeds on it. Still skeptical? Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.

And last but not least, a personal favorite of mine, Buddha Ruska. Thai food is such a comfort, and Buddha Ruska brings it to the next level. If you’ve never had their crispy garlic chicken, step away from your computer right now and GO ORDER SOME. They’ve got their lobby set up for social distancing, complete with plexiglass separating you from the staff, and a pen try that ensures all pens are disinfected between each use. And as for their menu, there is pretty much nothing that will lead you wrong. Even their Pad Thai, one of the most basic Thai meals, is so delicious, it practically melts in your mouth. This is a wonderful local business to support, as they clearly take great pride in their food!
So, there you have it, three delicious eats while you’re stuck at home on the island of West Seattle. If you have any other suggestions, please leave them in the comments below! We are always eager to support local businesses here at Bushwick! In the meantime, stay safe and healthy out there!
